What is more pampering the soul than letting it enjoy beauty? In the midst of a chaotic life, sometimes we also need to live slowly, to calm ourselves down, to open our hearts, to listen to a piece of music, to enjoy a flower scent. And perhaps flowers are a spiritual gift with the most aesthetic value that nature has bestowed on humans. The still life oil painting “Summer Perfume” by artist Vo Duc Long depicts the beauty of such flowers. On a small chair is neatly placed a vase of violets – sweet purple flowers, a symbol of fidelity. And it seems that the afternoon sunlight pouring in from the doorway has highlighted the beauty of purple violet. The characteristic golden sunshine color of that summer seems to make the fragrance of the faithful flower more passionate, more loving and gentler.
