As we all know: in Vietnamese literature, the bamboo tree is compared to the father, the banana tree is also depicted as the mother. The banana stem is very fragile, the banana leaf is very gentle, but the cover of the left chamber of the banana is strong and resilient. The banana tree reminds us of the image of a woman with weak legs and soft hands but knowing how to sacrifice for her family, suffering and hard work, banana trees also remind us of the close familiarity of the old place at home. Perhaps there is no tree that is as attached to the village as the banana tree, but without this image, the village will not be as it is.
