A day on the border

About the artwork

There is a border guard soldier who takes “fortress as home, border as homeland, ethnic people as brothers”. There is a Kinh teacher from the lowlands who volunteered to plug the village, teaching children to hold pens and draw their dreams of life… for those who are attached to the remote border, they bring in their national character, the way of honest substances. They, when people from the lowlands, have a long association with them, but they don’t build a peaceful life, print and paint the dream of a brighter tomorrow, more developed than a day’s oil painting. On the border, painter Nguyen Ba Cung probably felt like a mother for those who had once been attached to the remote border area.
