About the artwork

Feelings from a visit to the antique shop of an artist friend of mine. Seeing him display a pear-era wooden horse next to the new year’s peach branch, I was moved by the old golden age of the old year and the new one of this year’s peach branch was the inspiration for me to draw this picture. On the background of Russian canvas, I lined a layer of kneeling gold and painted this picture, to preserve the golden antiquity of a time in the color of peach blossoms…
